Spring Carnival
Home Back

The Spring Carnival is always a good time, usually culminating with the Mr. Shields Valley Pageant. However, this year we decided to try something different.  The evening started with a spaghetti dinner and the usual games and fun for everyone.  The "weather outside was frightful" to say the least.  A winter storm descended upon the community about 3 p.m.  It was a total blizzard.  But, inspite of the weather, a good crowd was on hand.  The featured event of the evening was Shields Valley's first-ever Jeopardy Championship.

Team were formed of staff members:  Ms. Brunner, Mr. Peterson and Ms. Galey; Community members:  Ned Zimmerman, Jack McInerney and Anne Milkovich; 7-12 Team:  Caity Zimmerman, Connor Mugnier and Tyler Stutterheim; and elementary team:  Karli Broell, Dakota Darkow, Brianna Peel and Kylie Kerkeart.  It was eventful and the finalists:  Ms. Galey, Jack McInerney, Caity Zimmerman and Karli Broell met in the Championship Round.

It came down to the final question, but Ms. Galey walked away with the honors.  She won $25 donated by BPA and then donated it back to the Robotics club.

Check out the pictures and check out the fun!

The first graders had a fish pond and provided a lot of fun for the little ones.
Meanwhile, the juniors sponsored a "Blackjack" table.

Ms. Brunner showed her sportsmanship as she was a target for the Senior Sober pie throw.
The sophomores provided a putting green for the little ones; and, Seth Swandal winds up for a wet sponge throw.

The target of the wet sponge throwers were usually freshmen boys. It was cold and wet, but fun all the same.
